Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on June 4, the Economic Police Team, Tay Ho District Police, in coordination with Quang An Ward Police and Hanoi Market Management Department, inspected the goods gathering point at the end of lane 238 Au Co, Quang An Ward, owned by Ms. BTH (born in 1984; in Yen Phu Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi).
At the time of inspection, nearly 1,100 kg of goods were discovered, including pig feet, with foreign words written on the packaging, without invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods. The working group drew up a record to confiscate all of the above food, destroy it and handle the act of trading in smuggled goods against the owner according to regulations.
According to the police, recently, authorities seized tons of sausages of unknown origin, which had been left in the warehouse for months without showing any signs of spoilage.
Tay Ho District Police recommend that people should choose to buy food with clear origin at licensed businesses that meet food hygiene and safety conditions, and avoid buying smuggled food of unknown origin...
