Also according to the announcement of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, 49 students scored 10 points in Math, while last year there were more than 120. The general admission score is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations, and not have a failing score (0 points).
Some teachers who graded the exam said that the Literature scores were concentrated in the range of 5 - 7.5. The number of students scoring 9 or higher was not as high as last year. In Math, there were few 10s, and few good scores (8 or higher). There was no "rain" of 10s in English, the common score was 6 - 8. Therefore, the benchmark score for grade 10 this year is predicted to decrease by 0.5 - 2.
Last year, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School had the highest entrance requirement, with candidates needing an average of 8.5 points per subject to pass. In the top 10 were Gia Dinh, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Huu Huan, Bui Thi Xuan, Phu Nhuan, Tran Phu, Le Quy Don, Mac Dinh Chi, and Nguyen Huu Cau, all of whom required 23 points or more.
The lowest score is at Da Phuoc High School, Binh Khanh, Can Thanh, An Nghia, Thanh An Secondary and High School with 10.5 points, or an average of 3.5 points per subject.
After knowing the score, candidates submit an appeal application at the secondary school they attended from June 21-24 and receive the results on June 30.
