According to the announced plan, from today, October 15, the push-button phones using 2G Only technology will officially be turned off. Many distributors predict that the demand for 4G phones will increase rapidly after this time. Why is that?

From October 15, 2G Only technology will officially stop operating, marking the necessary transition to 4G phones. With the number of 2G subscribers dropping sharply to less than 1 million, the market for buying and selling push-button phones has become quiet. Most users have proactively upgraded to 4G phones, causing the demand for buying and selling push-button phones on social networks to decrease significantly.
In addition to supporting discounts and giving away preferential SIM cards to help people easily switch, recently, network operators have supported the cost of 4G Only phones combined with conversion packages, and supported up to 100% of the cost of 4G phones. Network operators have prepared a number of 4G phones to support compensation (100% support) for their 2G Only subscribers. Some mobile businesses have policies to support giving away phones without registering for a package for poor households, near-poor households, subscribers in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas to switch to 4G phones. According to a representative of Viettel network, in September and October, the number of customers going to stores to switch was very rare. Mr. Nguyen The Kha, Commercial Director of FPT Shop system, also said: "FPT Shop system is not in a state of scarcity because the supply has been prepared sufficiently since the end of September. And the number of customers who have not upgraded to 4G is expected to be less than 1 million, so sales have not increased dramatically in recent days". At some other phone distribution stores, the purchasing power of 4G phones has shown signs of slowing down. Network operators said that the number of 2G subscribers is mainly two groups of customers: one group in remote areas is difficult to contact or is determined to use old phones until they can no longer be used, and the other group of customers uses secondary SIMs and rarely opens their phones to communicate. Therefore, currently, the need for conversion is basically saturated and the market is less "hot" than before. Why will the fever return?
Many people who mistakenly bought fake 4G phones (which are actually 2G phones) may be shocked when their SIMs stop working after October 15.
