Workshop "The role of family in building and developing Lao Cai culture and people"

On the morning of June 26, at Lao Cai City Conference Center, the Provincial People's Committee organized a workshop "The role of family in building and developing Lao Cai culture and people".

The workshop was attended by leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations of the province; representatives of the Department of Culture and Information of districts, towns and cities in the province; experts and researchers in the field of culture and family.

According to the report, the province currently has more than 175 thousand families, of which 85% of households have achieved the title of "Cultural Family", 23% of households have achieved the title of "Sports Family", 75% of households have been recognized as "Learning Family"; building and maintaining more than 50 models of Clubs to prevent and combat child marriage and consanguineous marriage, intervention models to reduce child marriage among ethnic minorities.

At the workshop, researchers and managers discussed and provided scientific results and practical experiences on the role of family in building and developing Lao Cai human culture. There were 31 papers submitted and presented at the workshop, highlighting good practices and the important role of family in preserving and promoting national cultural identity; educating civic ethics; educating ethics and lifestyle for young people in the current period; promoting the effectiveness of mass mobilization work in building prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized families.

Delegates also proposed many solutions to promote gender equality, effectively implement child care in building prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized families in Lao Cai; promote the role of the press and media in propaganda work to raise awareness about family and the role of family in developing Lao Cai culture and people...

Through the workshop, we aim to find the core elements to preserve and promote the role of the family in developing the culture and people of Lao Cai. From there, we will spread the good traditional values of the family; the model of a cultural family, emulation movements and typical examples, creating a strong change in educating patriotism, national pride, traditions and history, building the personality of Lao Cai people in the new period... This will contribute to realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous Lao Cai province.
