Over the years, the finance sector's philosophy of "nurturing sustainable revenue sources" instead of "tightening revenue" has brought remarkable success. In the 4 years from 2020-2024, the total state budget revenue exceeded the target by more than VND 940,000 billion, not to mention tax exemptions and reductions of more than VND 800,000 billion. These are testaments to the efforts of the finance sector, clearly demonstrating the view that tax work contributes to creating and supporting economic development, creating a strong driving force for the recovery and development of businesses, individuals and households.

The workshop “Tax and a healthy financial system for sustainable development” hopes to create a forum for management agencies, experts, businesses... to discuss, analyze and propose solutions to optimize tax policies, towards a sustainable financial system for the long-term development of the country.

The workshop was attended and chaired by leaders of the Ministry of Finance, leaders of the General Department of Taxation and related departments under the Ministry of Finance, representatives of a number of related agencies, leaders of enterprises, associations, economic experts and central and local press and television agencies.

The workshop will be reported live on Lao Dong, Tien Phong, VietNamNet electronic newspapers and on the Website and Fanpage of the Government Electronic Information Portal at 14:00 on December 18, 2024.

(According to Lao Dong)

Tax authorities provide guidance on how to handle when a person has 2 personal tax codes . According to the Law on Tax Administration, each individual is assigned a unique tax code (MST) for use throughout their life. The tax authority will consolidate the MSTs into one tax code, which is the personal identification number. Taxpayers do not have to carry out procedures to cancel duplicate MSTs.
