National scientific conference on theoretical and practical issues of Party building in political ideology and ethics in the new period

On October 13, in Ninh Binh, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee to organize a national scientific conference with the theme "Theoretical and practical issues in Party building work in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics in the new period".

Attending, chairing and directing the workshop was comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Delegates from Ninh Binh province attending the workshop included: Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

In his opening speech at the workshop, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies, emphasized: Throughout the process of leading the Vietnamese revolution, our Party has always attached special importance to the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres to improve the Party's leadership capacity, governing capacity and fighting strength; determining this as a key, important and regular task, related to maintaining the socialist nature and the survival of the Party and the regime. The document of the 13th National Party Congress continued to emphasize the task: "... must attach special importance to and further promote the comprehensive building and rectification of the Party in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres".

Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, according to its assigned functions and tasks, the Central Propaganda Department organized a national workshop on "Theoretical and practical issues in Party building in terms of politics, ideology and ethics in the new period". This is a workshop of special significance. The results of the workshop will contribute to summarizing the Party building work in terms of politics, ideology and ethics over 40 years of implementing the renovation policy and participating in the construction of the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

To organize the national conference, the Central Propaganda Department established a Steering Committee and an Advisory Group consisting of leaders of the Central Propaganda Department, prestigious and experienced experts and scientists; and organized two branch conferences on August 3, 2023. Branch 1 "Theoretical and practical issues in Party building work on politics and ideology in the new period"; Branch 2 "Theoretical and practical issues in Party building work on ethics in the new period".

At the two branch workshops, delegates also discussed and clarified the position, role, importance and content of each element of Party building in politics, Party building in ideology, Party building in ethics and the relationship of those elements; at the same time, they also initially proposed a number of methods, tasks and solutions for Party building in politics, ideology and ethics.

Based on the results of the two branch workshops, this National Workshop will approach both theoretical and practical aspects.

In terms of awareness, it is necessary to continue discussing to reach consensus on the content of each element, and at the same time clarify the relationship between the elements in the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics as a whole and system.

In practice, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the outstanding results as well as the limitations and causes, draw lessons, models, good and creative practices from the practice of Party building work in politics, ideology and ethics; especially focus on discussing and proposing tasks and solutions for Party building in politics, ideology and ethics in the new period, especially in the field of propaganda, as a core and key sector.

He believes that with the qualifications, experience, enthusiasm and responsibility of the leaders, managers, experts and scientists, the Workshop will be a great success, contributing many important contents to the summary of the Party building work in terms of politics, ideology and ethics over 40 years of implementing the renovation policy and participating in building the content of the 14th National Party Congress Documents.
