This is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 120th birthday of General Secretary Tran Phu (May 1, 1904 - May 1, 2024).
The workshop was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.
Attending the workshop were representatives of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Mass Mobilization Committee; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and central and local departments and branches; delegates and scientists from the central and Ha Tinh provinces.
Speaking at the workshop, Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung emphasized: Ha Tinh is the homeland of many famous people and exemplary revolutionaries. In all historical periods, Ha Tinh has always had outstanding and outstanding children who have made great contributions to their homeland and country.
The steadfast revolutionary moral example of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party was a great motivation to encourage the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh to overcome all difficulties and hardships, together with the people of the whole country to gain great victory in the August Revolution of 1945, against the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists. After nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process, more than 30 years of re-establishing the province, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh have risen up to achieve many important results.
“This workshop is an opportunity for Ha Tinh to continue to promote its homeland's traditions, arouse revolutionary spirit, and determination to build Ha Tinh province to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized, contributing to building a prosperous and happy Vietnam,” said Mr. Hoang Trung Dung.
The introduction to the workshop presented by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council affirmed: This is a practical activity on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Tran Phu, to review the heroic life, glorious revolutionary career and to show gratitude and honor the great contributions of comrade Tran Phu to the Party and the Vietnamese people.
Contribute to promoting propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions, belief in revolutionary ideals, patriotism, self-reliance, and arousing the aspiration to build and develop the country for cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation.
The workshop chair hoped that delegates would focus on discussing and deepening the five main contents: Comrade Tran Phu from a patriotic youth became a communist, devoted to the revolutionary cause of the nation; Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party; Comrade Tran Phu - a loyal and indomitable communist; Comrade Tran Phu - an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding son of the Vietnamese people and his homeland Ha Tinh; promoting the revolutionary spirit of Comrade Tran Phu in the current revolutionary period.
The workshop received more than 50 reports and presentations from leaders of the Party, State, central and local agencies and departments, Ha Tinh province and scientists. Thereby, the life, career and contributions of the first General Secretary of the Party were clarified.
In particular, the discussion at the conference continued to affirm that the revolutionary spirit of General Secretary Tran Phu was a source of motivation that gave strength to generations of Vietnamese people to overcome all difficulties and challenges in the struggle to gain, maintain and protect national independence and the happiness of the people against the invasions of French colonialism and American imperialism. In the process of building socialism and renewing the country, the revolutionary spirit of comrade Tran Phu continues to be the flame that lights up the path forward for the Vietnamese people.
