Attending the workshop were more than 100 delegates representing leaders and experts of agencies and departments of Hoa Binh province; leaders of the District People's Committee, Ethnic Minorities Department of the districts; officials of the Commune People's Committee; Prestigious people, Heads of the Front Work Committee, Village Heads, Party Cell Secretaries; teachers, students, etc.
The workshop aims to study, exchange and learn to have a deeper insight into the consequences, causes and experiences in handling situations at the grassroots level, and at the same time seek effective solutions, in line with the province's objectives on the issue of TH-HNCHT in ethnic minority areas; along with the impacts of TH-HNCHT on the socio-economic development and sustainable development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Hoa Binh province.
With a report on the situation and current status of the implementation of the Project "Reducing the situation of TH-HNCHT in ethnic minority areas in the period of 2015 - 2025", with encouraging results in the past time. The workshop had 10 presentations and listened to 5 presentations by representatives of the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Mai Chau District Ethnic Affairs Department, Prestigious People of Cao Phong District, Hoa Binh Provincial Youth Union.
The presentations were concise, focused, and key, clarifying the issues raised as well as sharing experiences and lessons learned in practice, and proposing feasible solutions to address the issues raised. There were 4 opinions expressed, sharing experiences and wishes, and proposing at the workshop with very focused content, valuable experiences, and proposing effective solutions.
The workshop achieved the set objectives: Overview of the current situation of TH-HNCHT in the province's ethnic minority areas and residential areas. Solutions to strengthen the coordination of all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations and cadres and civil servants on ethnic affairs and implementation of ethnic policies; promote the role, proactively and actively in deploying, monitoring and implementing policies in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province.
Focus on studying and researching, clarifying the advantages, difficulties and some issues arising in the practice of solving problems related to TH-HNCHT in the area in order to propose effective solutions suitable to the characteristics and situation of the province for implementation.
Exchange and discuss with experts on in-depth content to understand the current situation and main causes leading to some areas still having high rates of child marriage, decisive factors that have direct influence and propose directions for effective impact and intervention, contributing to improving people's lives, successfully implementing the goal of sustainable development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
In his closing speech at the workshop, Mr. Ha Van Di, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, highly appreciated the quality of the presentations and in-depth opinions of experts and cadres at the grassroots level, which greatly contributed to the success of the workshop; at the same time, assigned the specialized department to research, fully absorb the opinions, and complete the report based on the contributions and suggestions from the workshop./.
The workshop is part of the implementation of Sub-project 2, Project 9 on Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas.
