Tay Ninh Journalists Association gives gifts to Agent Orange victims and nursing homes

Mr. Nguyen The Luc - Permanent Vice President of Tay Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, along with the families of Mr. Thanh Phong - Dieu Niem (Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Phat Cuong (Dong Nai) representing the sponsors presented 40 gifts to Agent Orange victims. Each gift is worth 500,000 VND including 300,000 VND in cash and 200,000 VND in gifts. At the same time, an additional 10 million VND in cash was given to the Center.

Ms. Vo Thi Dep - President of the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Tay Ninh Province, Director of the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims expressed her thanks and wished to continue receiving help from groups and individuals inside and outside the province to share the difficulties with the victims.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation continued to visit and give gifts to the elderly at the nursing home at the Buddha Mother Temple, Truong Tay commune, Long Thanh Bac ward, Hoa Thanh town.

Here, the delegation donated 10 million VND in cash to the nursing home, directly gave each elderly person 100,000 VND and a gift including milk, diapers, and bird's nest. The total value of the gifts was more than 30 million VND.

Practical gifts not only help the elderly reduce difficulties but also provide spiritual encouragement, adding motivation for them to live happily, live healthily, and maintain an optimistic spirit in life.

The total value of this gift giving is more than 60 million VND, sponsored by the Tay Ninh Journalists Association mobilizing domestic and foreign benefactors.

In recent times, the Tay Ninh Journalists Association has carried out many meaningful activities, creating a widespread influence to call on more organizations and individuals to join hands to help victims of Agent Orange, lonely elderly people, poor children, contributing with the Party and State to "leave no one behind".
