Conference to survey and evaluate the results of 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 20 of the Party Central Committee

On the morning of June 18, the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor had a working session with the Nghe An Labor Federation to survey and evaluate the results of 15 years of implementing Resolution 20 of the Party Central Committee on "Continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country as well as the action program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to implement this Resolution.

Conference overview.

At the conference, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor reported to the delegation the results of 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 20 of the Party Central Committee and the Action Program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. It affirmed that after 15 years of implementation, the Resolution has created a positive change in awareness and action in Party committees at all levels, authorities, unions, and labor unions about the position and great role of the working class in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Governments at all levels have specific projects and policies to implement the resolution such as: Attracting investment, developing enterprises, supporting enterprises to overcome difficulties, improving production and business efficiency, vocational training, employment, and housing for workers; social policies on labor and employment are directed regularly and promptly, implementing well the work of encouraging, sharing, removing and resolving difficulties and problems to help workers feel secure in their work, enthusiastically competing in labor and production...

At the conference, members of the Survey Team and the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor exchanged and discussed some existing issues as well as contents related to the orientation, goals, and tasks according to Resolution No. 20 and the Action Program to implement the Resolution. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Survey Team highly appreciated the preparation of the report content; the proactiveness, positivity, and flexibility of Nghe An trade unions at all levels in implementing Resolution 20 and the Action Program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The survey and assessment results will be the basis for the working group to synthesize and advise the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the summary of the implementation of the resolution and related contents.
