(CLO) On the evening of January 16, 2025, at the Cultural and Creative Space of Tay Ho district (Hanoi), the opening event of the Spring Flower Festival and regional Ocop products of the Year of the Snake 2025 took place.
The Spring Flower Festival and Regional Ocop Products of the Year of the Snake 2025 is an activity to promote Ocop products, preserve traditional craft villages and promote trade connections.
The event lasts until January 20, with a scale of more than 7,000m², 90 booths and the participation of 100 typical units and businesses from districts in Hanoi.
Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen delivered the opening speech of the Spring Flower Festival.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen shared: "The Spring Flower Festival and regional Ocop products are not only a trade promotion event but also an opportunity to honor traditional cultural values, connect trade, and promote typical products of Tay Ho District and regions across the country. This is a testament to the solidarity, creativity and efforts to overcome difficulties of the local people and authorities."
This year’s Spring Flower Festival introduces typical products such as Nhat Tan peach, Tu Lien kumquat, Quang An lotus tea, Phu Thuong sticky rice, Bao Phuong cake and Do paper from Buoi ward. In addition, 3-star and 4-star Ocop products, organic agricultural products, processed foods, and handicrafts from Hanoi’s craft villages are also on display.
The event space is designed to be open, close to nature, combining agricultural landscapes, Khue Van Cac model, traditional ancient houses, serving the sightseeing, entertainment and shopping needs of the people and tourists.

"The highlight of the Spring Flower Festival is the Quintessence of Kumquat and Peach Blossom Art Competition, with the participation of nearly 100 gardeners. The entries not only demonstrate the artistry but also affirm the strong vitality of traditional craft villages after challenges from natural disasters" - Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee emphasized.
This year, Tay Ho district was honored to receive the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize Nhat Tan peach growing as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The peach growing profession in Nhat Tan has existed for centuries, becoming a symbol of luck and a good start to the traditional Tet holiday.
