Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial People's Council passed many humane resolutions

The meeting discussed and gave opinions on many important resolutions and contents to promptly implement newly issued policies and speed up the disbursement of public investment capital according to the set plan.

Notably, the meeting approved a policy to support budget spending on health insurance for people aged 65 and over who are permanent residents of the province. The support level is equal to 100% of the health insurance premium as prescribed. The total expected support budget is more than 46 billion VND (of which 5 months of 2024 is more than 19 billion VND).

Comrade Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered the closing speech at the conference.

Through the policy of tuition support for nursery children, kindergarten children, public and non-public high school students, and students studying continuing education programs in the province, starting from the 2024-2025 school year. The support level is equal to 100% of the public tuition fee collected by the Provincial People's Council for each level of education. The estimated source of support funding is 71 billion VND.

Delegates of the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province discussed and voted on these two contents with 100% approval rate. The resolution was passed and took effect from August 1, 2024.

Comrade Le Ngoc Linh, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, answered questions from the Provincial People's Council delegates about investment attraction.

In his closing speech at the conference, Comrade Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested the Provincial People's Committee and heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors to uphold their sense of responsibility, absorb, research, explain and clarify issues that the Provincial People's Council delegates were interested in and questioned at the session to meet the expectations and trust of voters and people in the province with the spirit of "what is said is done; what is committed is done; what is done, what is done must be effective".

At this session, the Provincial People's Council passed 25 resolutions in various fields. The resolutions just passed play an important role, creating a legal corridor for the implementation of mechanisms and policies in accordance with the provisions of law, contributing to creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the province, demonstrating the attention of the Party and the Government, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, promoting production and business, increasing income to continue improving the quality and happiness of the people.
