On the morning of April 13, at the E2 Hill relic, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province, Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien Province to organize a handover and reception ceremony of bronze drums to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association presented a bronze drum to Dien Bien province.

At the ceremony, the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association conducted a handover ceremony of a newly cast bronze drum with a face size of 1m and a height of 79cm; the body of the drum depicts typical images of the life and activities of President Ho Chi Minh, and the milestones of the Vietnamese revolution. In addition, the body of the drum also depicts many typical motifs and patterns such as: Stars, Lac birds, musical instrument symbols, ancient costumes, and human activities such as dancing, drumming, etc.

Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association presented a sword imitating Ba Trieu's sword to Dien Bien province.

At the ceremony, the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association also presented Dien Bien province with a sword imitating Ba Trieu's sword (the original is currently kept at Thanh Hoa Museum - a national treasure) measuring 0.70m and plated with gold; a relief depicting the image of the Thanh Hoa province's cart convoy serving the Dien Bien Phu campaign.

Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association presented a relief depicting the image of the Thanh Hoa province's cart convoy serving the Dien Bien Phu Campaign to Dien Bien province.

Each artifact has its own sacred value and meaning, expressing the sentiments, enthusiasm and noble gesture of Thanh Hoa people towards Dien Bien Phu. This is also one of the practical activities of Thanh Hoa province towards celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, reviewed Thanh Hoa's contributions to the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign as well as in the current peacetime. At the same time, he affirmed that the event of presenting the bronze drum is an activity of important historical significance, expressing the sentiments and deep gratitude of Thanh Hoa province for the great sacrifices of our ancestors in the struggle to protect the Fatherland. He hoped that in the coming time, the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association would continue to accompany Dien Bien province in heritage conservation activities and preserve the cultural identity of ethnic groups.

Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang presented Certificates of Merit of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals of Thanh Hoa province.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals of Thanh Hoa province.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang presented Certificates of Merit of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee to Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association and 5 individuals of Thanh Hoa province. Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province presented Certificates of Merit to 15 individuals of Thanh Hoa province for their outstanding achievements in implementing the program of casting and donating bronze drums to Dien Bien province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The bronze drum was presented at the ceremony.

After the reception ceremony, these artifacts will be displayed at the Exhibition House of the Veterans Association Cultural Center and on the E2 Hill relic, Dien Bien Phu City.
