Bim Son Town Veterans Association summarizes the movement "Exemplary Veterans"

On May 6, the Veterans Association of Bim Son town held a conference to summarize the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" for the period 2019-2024, celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Association's Traditional Day and pay tribute to Dien Bien soldiers on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

19 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" were commended and rewarded.

In the period of 2019-2024, the Bim Son Town War Veterans Association innovated the content, form and method of organizing the emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans" in the direction of focusing on the grassroots, closely following the political tasks of the locality, associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and patriotic emulation movements. Cadres and members of the town War Veterans Association have actively participated in building and protecting the Party and the government; building a strong association; helping each other reduce poverty, do good business and protect the legitimate rights and interests of members.

Notably, cadres and members have boldly invested in expanding production and business scale, applying scientific and technological advances, transforming crop and livestock structures; actively participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas by donating thousands of ^square meters of land, money, and working days to build roads and welfare works. At the same time, they regularly visit and encourage members in difficult circumstances; eliminate 16 dilapidated houses for poor war veterans, with a total value of nearly 550 million VND; organize 165 traditional talks, with nearly 27,000 union members and students participating... In addition, the War Veterans Association of the town is always at the forefront of implementing local tasks such as ensuring security and order, traffic safety, food hygiene and safety, and environmental protection.

With outstanding achievements in implementing the "Exemplary Veterans" movement, in recent years, the Bim Son Town Veterans Association has been honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded the Emulation Flag.

Promoting the achieved results, with the slogan "Loyalty, solidarity, exemplary, creative, competitive, building and defending the Fatherland", in the period of 2024-2029, the Town's War Veterans Association continues to innovate and improve the quality of emulation and reward work; promote patriotic emulation movements, linking the emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans"; continue to seriously implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; movements and campaigns of the province and locality, striving to successfully achieve the set targets.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association Dinh Tien Phong and leaders of Bim Son town presented gifts to express gratitude to war veterans, youth volunteers, and frontline workers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. The People's Committee of Bim Son town presented Certificates of Merit to 19 groups and 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans".

The conference also unanimously elected a delegation of 5 people to the Congress to summarize the emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans" of Thanh Hoa province.
