With the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development", VITM Hanoi 2024 has the participation of promotion agencies and tourism businesses from 55 provinces and cities of Vietnam, 16 countries and territories, with 480 booths and over 700 units. The Fair has attracted nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to work at the Fair with over 12,000 appointments (B to B) on the sidelines of the Fair; there have been more than 10,000 tours & promotional tourism products provided at the Fair. It is estimated that nearly 80,000 visitors will visit and shop at the Fair. VITM Hanoi 2024 continues to affirm its brand and position as the leading tourism promotion event of Vietnam Tourism.
Speaking at the Closing Ceremony of the Fair, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association Cao Thi Ngoc Lan said that from April 11 to 14, 23 tourism promotion events and activities were held within the framework of the VITM Hanoi 2024 Fair. The meetings between businesses and businesses, businesses and tourists and the activities of Vietnam and international tourism promotion agencies have created a vibrant atmosphere, a strong spirit of tourism businesses nationwide, contributing significantly to the recovery, acceleration, and rapid and effective development of Vietnam's tourism.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman, within the framework of the event at the tourism forum with the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development" has attracted a large number of State management agencies on tourism from the central to local levels, researchers, tourism experts and leaders of tourism businesses. The forum has specified the content and requirements of green transformation in the tourism sector; Proposed effective linkage and coordination mechanisms to mobilize resources to implement green transformation in tourism; Realized initiatives to approach and expand the market for green tourism business models through specific activities. The fair has mobilized tourism businesses to immediately innovate activities to build green destinations, green products, promote businesses to train workers with knowledge of green tourism, contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnam's tourism to develop into a green economy, a circular economy of Vietnam.
Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan also informed that at the ceremony to honor typical businesses and individuals of VITA AWARDS 2024, 2 special Contribution Awards were presented to honor typical individuals who have created conditions and supported the Vietnam Tourism Association to successfully organize national events and activities, contributing to the development of Vietnam tourism... Honoring 170 organizations, businesses, 112 individuals who are members of the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Tourism Association of 58 provinces and cities and the Mekong Delta Tourism Association. "The honoring ceremony has truly become a festival of the tourism business community, encouraging businesses to promote the emulation movement, innovation, creativity, actively contributing to the recovery and development of Vietnam Tourism" Ms. Lan expressed.
According to the Organizing Committee's report, the revenue from tourism product sales during the 4 days of the Fair reached over 180 billion VND. Regarding the Fair, 92% of businesses achieved their targets when participating in the Fair, of which 5.4% exceeded their expected targets; 91.9% were satisfied with the activities at the Fair. Regarding the proposal, 25% of units wanted to change the location of their booths for more convenience; 81% of units committed to participating in the VITM Hanoi Fair 2025.
