Acting, dancing, singing live in English
The musicals mostly impressed the audience with the creativity, eye-catching performances, live singing in English, good dancing… of the students. Among them, many performances by 6th and 7th graders, only 12 and 13 years old, made the audience unable to take their eyes off.
The content of the musicals is equally fascinating. Many classic foreign fairy tales have been gracefully transformed by the children into English musicals with captivating content such as Beauty and the Beast , Cinderella ...
In addition, Vietnamese fairy tales (like Tam Cam ), heroes in cloth, stories about school and class are all valuable materials that students have created and adapted into English to create profound musicals.

Increase students' spirit of learning and creativity
Ms. Tran Kim Duyen - head of the foreign language group, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted - said that to reach the final round, musicals as well as reports must pass the preliminary round. Students in each class will record videos of their performances to submit to the contest.
"The preliminary round received 119 musicals and video reports from 53 participating classes, of which grades 6 and 7 participated the most with 22 performances. Nearly 100% of the classes participated in both musical and video report categories.
Through their entries, the students showed their eagerness to learn, their willingness to conquer new knowledge and skills... as well as their excellent foreign language and creativity skills, which is truly encouraging and joyful," she commented.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Hong Thuy - Vice Principal of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, in musicals, students not only compete in English, acting, scriptwriting, singing, dancing, etc., but also "compete" in promoting their products to viewers, so making posters and introducing them is also a criterion.
"Through competitions like this, students' spirit of learning and creativity will increase and the next round will be better than the previous one. That is the school's expectation in organizing big playgrounds for students," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
