Before the trip, most of the students were excited because they had “never seen a dairy cow before”. However, after visiting Vinamilk Green Farm, the students were not only excited to see the cows but also discovered many interesting things about the modern and environmentally friendly ecological farm.
Green Farm: not only interesting because there are many dairy cows…
Nguyen Thanh Bao Duy (HCMC) shared: “When I arrived here, I was very surprised because the farm has a large lake, cooling fans, and cows are equipped with health monitoring chips. I didn’t think such modern technology was available at the farm!”
Meanwhile, Le Vinh Bao (9 years old, Ho Chi Minh City), passionate about robots, is especially fascinated with the Lely robot: "I am very impressed because the robot automatically feeds the cows on time, in the right amount, and also plays relaxing music. Vinamilk also monitors the health of the dairy cows through an application on the phone."
Parent Hoang Diep also shared that the actual experience at the farm was completely different from her initial imagination. “Before coming, I thought the farm would be hot, but when I entered and saw the lake and the large green area, the air was cool, mild and extremely pleasant,” she said.

Through exploring the farm, the children learned more about the application of environmental protection technology. For example, the biogas system converts cow waste into methane gas to boil milk for calves, helping to effectively treat waste, save electricity and gas, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions - Photo: VI NAM
Children also discovered many interesting information such as: 100% renewable resources at Vinamilk farms are equivalent to the amount of electricity used for 2 round-trip tram trips from Earth to the Moon, the amount of water for 86 Olympic swimming pools and the amount of carbon neutrality equivalent to 30,000 football fields covered with trees... - Photo: VI NAM
Green factory welcomes young talents
Nguyen Thanh Gia Bao, a 9th grade student at Ngo Quyen Secondary School (Hai Phong), said he was most impressed with the LGV robot at the factory. LGV is capable of calculating the fastest travel route, helping to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions by 62% compared to traditional forklifts.
“The robot operates precisely, without any unnecessary or incorrect movements, saves energy and reduces emissions to the environment. This makes me very excited and inspires me to pursue my passion for programming robots to protect the environment in the future,” Gia Bao shared.
Mr. Tran Minh Tri, production manager at Vietnam Dairy Factory (Binh Duong), shared that he was surprised by the in-depth questions about technology from the students: “Although they are only 13-15 years old, they have shown great concern for the environment. I believe that these will be future talents, contributing to building more green factories for Vietnam.”

The children listened attentively and took detailed notes about the production process to make a carton of milk at the Vinamilk super factory: from giant milk tanks, to the canning line that produces 6-7 cartons of milk every second, or the smart warehouse that operates more than 27,000 batches of goods with computer control... - Photo: VI NAM

Students were surprised to learn that Vinamilk's smart warehouse reduces CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to traditional warehouses. Vinamilk currently has 5 smart warehouses, including cold storage for products that need to be kept at a stable cold temperature - Photo: VI NAM
