Collect love
Mr. Tran Thanh Lam shared that Ben Tre and Tien Giang share the Tien River, a land of beautiful rivers and are connected by bridges. However, there is a very special bridge because it was built from "bricks" of kindness contributed by businesses and many uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters present and not present at this ceremony.

Sharing at the ceremony, two new students, Le Thi Ngoc Vy and Le Hoai Han, were choked with emotion. Ngoc Vy lost her father when she was a toddler, and her mother single-handedly raised Vy and her siblings. But when her father passed away, the entire house and land had to be returned to her paternal family, leaving the mother and her three children homeless.
Every day, her mother cuts grass, collects bottles, and does housework… as long as she can earn money to pay for her two children’s tuition. For 12 consecutive years, Vy has been an excellent student and has just become a student majoring in maritime science at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.
Le Hoai Han was born into a poor family in Giao Thanh commune, Thanh Phu district (Ben Tre province). Han did not know his father, and his mother's job as a beadworker could not support seven mouths, so even though she had cancer, she still had to work as a babysitter in Kien Giang to send money home for her children's education.
Han said he had to study hard to escape the poverty that had plagued his family for generations. Although he had to do all the housework, Han studied well, won many excellent student awards for many years and just became a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology.
The new students were moved when participating in the exchange part of the program.

To the 18-year-olds, journalist Tran Xuan Toan hopes that each of you must live responsibly. First of all, for yourself, when you are away from your family, you need to equip yourself with life skills, including health to ensure your studies and pursue your dreams. Next is the responsibility to your family and relatives because they have shared their food and clothes so that you can enter university and study better.
Finally, it is the responsibility to the community, to the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who gave me the scholarship by trying to study well to not only serve myself but also contribute to my hometown and village. "I believe that in 5 or 10 years, you sitting here will come back to build your hometown Ben Tre, Tien Giang to be more prosperous and beautiful" - Mr. Toan said.
