Magnificent and majestic stage show "Forever the heroic spirit of the red flag"

On the evening of the 5th day of the Lunar New Year (February 14), at the stage in front of the City Theater, the dramatization program "Forever the heroic spirit of the red flag" took place (broadcast live on HTV 1, rebroadcast on HTV 9 - Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, broadcast live on VOH).

The dramatization program "Sang mai hao khi co dao" is directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, coordinated by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center. The artistic director is People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; scriptwriter: composer Lam Vien; music director: Meritorious Artist Vo Thanh Liem - musician Dat Kim; People's Artist Huu Quoc and director Duong Thao.

The program highlighted the proud message about the journey to bring spring victory of the Tay Son emperor in cloth and red flag.

Speaking at the dramatization program "Forever the heroic spirit of the red flag", Ms. Tran Kim Yen - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Ho Chi Minh City - emphasized that history always reminds us to engrave, as descendants of Lac Hong for generations, we must continue to write heroic pages of history, making Vietnam famous.

This is one of the heroic pages of our nation's history of fighting foreign invaders, under the leadership of the cloth-clothed hero, Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue".

People's Artist and Director Huu Quoc confided: "Vietnamese bamboo has entered people's lives, a familiar image for many generations of Vietnamese people. Bamboo forms clumps, bushes, firmly forming ramparts. Bamboo is the pioneer in protecting the land, protecting the village, contributing to creating a peaceful life for generations of Vietnamese people.

In the face of national danger, bamboo is a symbol of national unity, the spirit of indomitable unity and unity to save the country.

During the Tay Son uprising, the image of bamboo was once again associated with the peasants in plain clothes, under the red flag of the Tay Son army who rose up to drive out foreign invaders, creating a glorious page in history for the nation.

The dramatization program also recreated seven generals from Binh Dinh who served the Tay Son dynasty their whole lives and were honored by local people as "Tay Son Seven Tiger Generals", including: Vo Van Dung, Tran Quang Dieu, Vo Dinh Tu, Nguyen Van Tuyet, Ly Van Buu, Le Van Hung, and Nguyen Van Loc.

Besides, there were also 5 talented female generals of the Tay Son dynasty who were praised by the people as "Tay Son Ngu Phung Thu", including: Bui Thi Xuan, Bui Thi Nhan, Tran Thi Lan, Huynh Thi Cuc, Nguyen Thi Dung.

Artists of Tran Huu Trang Theater such as: Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long, Vo Minh Lam (Nguyen Hue), Chi Dung (Nguyen Nhac), La Quang Minh (Nguyen Lu), Lam Minh Nguyen, Hung Vuong, Diep Duy, Hoai Minh, Trong Hieu, Son Minh, Meritorious Artist Tam Tam, Meritorious Artist Quynh Huong, Nha Thy, Hong Quyen... and two female artists: People's Artist My Hang and Anh Ngoc playing the role of Princess Ngoc Han - have brilliantly portrayed the 12 generals of the Tay Son Dynasty - talented people who, together with Nguyen Hue - Quang Trung, raised the red flag and built the glorious Tay Son dynasty.

The program also recreated the heroic battles with the fleet of warships that took the sea route to Rach Gam - Xoai Mut, creating a beautiful impression with music, lights and choreography of more than 200 traditional martial arts actors participating. Meritorious artist Nguyen Thi Thuan performed "Tay Son Battle Drums".
