The launching ceremony in response to the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam and the Elderly Singing Festival of Region I in the Northern provinces is scheduled to take place from September 27 to 30 in Ha Tinh .
On the afternoon of August 21, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu chaired a meeting to review the coordination of organizing the launching ceremony in response to the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam and the Elderly Singing Festival of Region I in the Northern provinces held in Ha Tinh. |

According to the draft plan, the launching ceremony and festival will take place from September 27 to 30 at the Ha Tinh Province Cultural and Cinema Center with the participation of 28 provinces and cities. It is expected that about 600 delegates from the central and local levels will participate. The draft plan also details the contents of the festival program and the launching ceremony.
Currently, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly has established an Organizing Committee for the launching ceremony to respond to the Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam and the Elderly Singing Festival in Region I of the Northern provinces with 12 members.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Xuan Luong: Currently, Ha Tinh's plan has clearly assigned content to departments and branches to coordinate in organizing the event well.
To ensure the launching ceremony and singing festival are successful and create a widespread effect, Ha Tinh has assigned relevant departments, agencies and branches to carry out the contents according to their functions and tasks, especially in propaganda work before and during the event; coordinate to build detailed scripts for the live TV program; prepare conditions for welcoming delegates, administration, reception, logistics, medical care, and ensure security and order for the event.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lap - Head of the Elderly Care Department (Vietnam Association of the Elderly) discussed some contents related to the coordination work to welcome central delegates and provinces and cities.
At the meeting, delegates added some additional contents to the draft plan, especially related to the coordination between the Vietnam Association of the Elderly in implementing the contents, including welcoming central and provincial delegates to attend; estimating the implementation budget; developing a detailed script for the festival program...
Vice President of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu: I hope Ha Tinh will coordinate smoothly with the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to successfully organize the program.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Truong Xuan Cu clarified a number of issues related to the detailed content of the festival and the launching ceremony that the delegates were interested in. At the same time, he hoped that Ha Tinh would coordinate smoothly with the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to successfully organize the program. Regarding the content of the singing festival, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should be assigned to coordinate, while the launching ceremony should be assigned to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with the association to ensure consistency.

Talking to the delegation of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that being selected to organize the launching ceremony and the Elderly Singing Festival of Region I of the Northern provinces (with the participation of 28 northern provinces and cities) is an opportunity for Ha Tinh to promote the potential and advantages of local culture and tourism, and an opportunity for the Ha Tinh Association of the Elderly to meet and exchange with other provinces.
For the event to be successful and have a widespread impact, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly needs to develop and assign specific tasks in coordination with Ha Tinh to organize and implement; closely coordinate with the organizing committee in developing the script for the live TV program. The province will ensure good reception of delegates, accommodation arrangements, logistics, celebrations and security and order, and health care during the events. Relevant departments and branches, according to their functions and tasks, will carry out assigned tasks according to the plan.
