New Mr World 2024 Danny Mejia expressed his impression of Vietnamese culture and people. He believes that Miss Ý Nhi is the perfect representative of Vietnamese beauty.
- What is your most memorable experience in Vietnam during your time participating in Mr World 2024?
The most memorable moment was when I won the crown, it summed up my entire experience in Vietnam in one minute. The way we hugged each other, all the other contestants rushed to celebrate and picked me up, it was a beautiful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

- What do you share about Mr World 1st runner-up Pham Tuan Ngoc of Vietnam, do you have any interesting memories?
We have many good memories together, especially when we both made it to the top 5 in the talent competition. Tuan Ngoc and I spent time in Ho Chi Minh City while the other contestants were in Vung Tau, recording and practicing our performances. During that time, we had a lot of free time and danced together. Tuan Ngoc is a good dancer, eager to learn, proactive and willing to learn many skills, including English. He taught himself salsa, merengue and I even taught him a few bachata steps.

- During the final night, you met Miss World 2023 and danced with her at the post-coronation party. Were you captivated by her beauty?
Krystyna Pyszková was gorgeous, like a princess from Frozen. She wore a dazzling dress with an attractive demeanor and way of speaking. Everything about her was beautiful, embodying the spirit that Miss World honors: not only external beauty but also inner beauty that is difficult to describe but can be felt.

- There are many Vietnamese beauties appearing at Mr World 2024, who do you pay special attention to?
I'm sorry but I can't confess my feelings to anyone yet. However, I think Miss World Vietnam (Huynh Tran Y Nhi - PV) is the perfect representative of Vietnamese beauty. She is not only beautiful but also has great communication and demeanor. She shows personality, intelligence and talent.
- As a multi-talented artist with the ability to sing in many languages, what inspired you to learn English, Spanish and French?
In Puerto Rico, we speak English and Spanish, which I learned as a child along with singing. I learned French because I loved languages and my school taught them. Likewise, I learned Mandarin, Chinese, and Italian to better myself and connect with the world.

- Pursuing art since the age of 13, what are the biggest challenges you have had to overcome in your journey to develop your singing career?
The biggest challenge for an artist is deciding what to do with your talent. You have to choose whether you want to collaborate with other artists or be your own artist and make your own music. At first, I just wanted to sing other people's songs, but over time, I realized I wanted to share my music and emotions with the world. The biggest challenge is knowing yourself and sharing that.

- With a background in Health Sciences, how do you incorporate this professional knowledge into maintaining your performance as a performer and your personal life?
I would like to share why I chose to major in Health Sciences. My passion comes from my social work with the Reno Council and from my own family. My sister has undergone two kidney transplants, which sparked my deep interest in medicine. I have been involved in medical forums since I was a child and have always wanted to contribute to the field.
My passion for medicine is also linked to music, which helps me express my emotions and connect with the experiences of my family and friends.

- As a Sports King, can you share about your daily training regimen and favorite sports?
I love CrossFit because it is a diverse sport, combining many different exercises, requiring flexibility, strength, endurance and mental clarity. CrossFit helps me to be strong and healthy, instead of just focusing on appearance. Preparing for Mr World, I realized that I had to change my habits to improve my aesthetics. I worked with coach Gisela Alvelo. In 4 months, I lost weight, gained muscle and achieved results beyond my expectations.

- What role do pets play in your life and what lessons have they taught you?
Dogs have been my mental therapy for many years. I had a Cockatoo in particular. When I was a child, he used to sing to me and he taught me how to sing, from pitch to modulation.

- As an R&B, pop and ballad singer, which artists have inspired your musical style?
Bruno Mars is a huge inspiration because he is multi-talented - he plays multiple instruments, sings well and has great stage presence. In Puerto Rico, I admire Marc Anthony for his talented voice and his contribution to promoting Puerto Rican culture.

- If you were a tourism ambassador for Vietnam, what would you introduce to international friends?
Although I have not had the chance to explore all of Vietnam, I am impressed by the kind people, delicious food and adventures that await. I want to visit Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An. Vietnam has beautiful natural scenery and a rich history. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City is a vibrant, crowded city with many activities to suit all tastes.
- After being crowned Mr. World, what are your plans for career development?
After being crowned Mr. World, I am still taking this opportunity and making concrete plans for the future. I will maximize my potential and use this platform to help the world, especially Puerto Rico and other communities.
I also considered returning to my music career, finishing the songs I had written and connecting with artists.
