Head of the organizing committee of Mrs Grand Vietnam 2024 contest - Mrs. Grand International 2022 Phan Kim Oanh - said that the age of contestants has been expanded from 20 to 45 years old (as of the time of the contest announcement).

Last year's contest had an age limit of 25 to 45.

Mrs. Miss honors "the beauty of maturity"?

This year, the organizers accepted single mothers as well as married or divorced candidates.

In addition, the organizers also "lowered" the height standard for contestants, from 1.57m last year to 1.55m this year. The contest also accepts contestants who have undergone cosmetic surgery.

Ms. Phan Kim Oanh explained that the reason the organizing committee continued to "lower" the already low standards for candidates this year was to create equal opportunities for many Vietnamese women to participate.

In addition, the contest's criteria is to honor inner beauty, "beauty from maturity" of women rather than physical beauty.

Ms. Phan Kim Oanh added that candidates who participated in the 2023 contest will continue to compete this year, but without special treatment, they will still have to go through the same rounds as other candidates.

No swimsuit competition

The judges of Mrs Grand Vietnam 2024 include: Miss Phan Kim Oanh, President of Mrs Grand International Khunn Hset Han, Miss Sao Mai, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, People's Artist Nguyen Hai, Meritorious Artist Tien Quang, singer Minh Quan...

The preliminary round will take place in July. The semi-finals will take place on September 21 with the Ao Dai, evening gown and talent competitions.

The final night with Ao Dai, Evening Gown, Talent and Behavior Competitions will take place on September 22 at the Opera House, Hanoi.

In addition to the beauty queen title, the organizers also awarded four runner-up titles and nine secondary awards.

The beauty crowned Mrs Grand Vietnam will officially become the representative face of Vietnam to compete at Mrs Grand International 2024 in Myanmar in November.
