Previously, Miss Mai Phuong attracted attention when departing from Tan Son Nhat airport to board a flight to India to attend Miss World 2023 on the afternoon of February 16. Present at the airport, the beauty wore a dress inspired by traditional Indian costumes, showing off her slim waist and beautiful, radiant appearance. "I was very happy and also very surprised because my flight just passed the Tet holiday, but everyone arranged to see me off to compete in Miss World. Thanks to that, I forgot all my worries, just eager to compete so that everyone in Vietnam could follow me."

It is known that Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, runner-up Phuong Anh; 2nd runner-up Miss Vietnam 2022 Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang and her family, close friends... went to the airport to see Miss Mai Phuong off to compete in the 71st Miss World. Notably, runner-up Ngoc Hang gave Miss Mai Phuong a mini rice cooker. According to runner-up Ngoc Hang, because she would crave Vietnamese food during the time she competed abroad, she decided to give Miss Mai Phuong this gift.

Sharing more with PV Dan Viet , Miss Mai Phuong said that her journey to conquer the 71st Miss World crown will begin on February 18, 2024. The 71st Miss World final will take place on the night of March 9, 2024.
