The new crown, called The Light of Infinity , is crafted from rare yellow South Sea pearls - the national treasure of the Philippines. The work is the result of 377 steps in 5 years, performed by Filipino master craftsmen, combining traditional techniques from Place Vendôme, France. However, the new crown has caused controversy because the design is not as beautiful and soft as the previously announced crowns.

At the event, the organizers also announced some new information about the new beauty queen's schedule.

Miss Universe owner and transgender billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip announced the new Miss Universe 2024's travel schedule, starting in Miami, followed by New York, Bangkok (Thailand), Palawan (Philippines) and Jakarta (Indonesia). The new beauty queen will end the year in New York with Christmas and New Year activities. The beauty queen's schedule will last throughout the year and further activities will be announced later.

Ms. Anne shared that the new beauty queen needs to maintain good health and mentality to complete upcoming tasks, from business trips to important events of the year.

On the morning of November 14, Miss Universe Vietnam announced Ky Duyen's national costume at the semi-final night of Miss Universe 2024. She will wear the Ngoc Diep Ky Nam national costume, designed by Dang Tran Tri, with the advice of Nguyen Minh Cong. Inspired by the Nguyen Dynasty's Butterfly Parasol, the costume honors the ingenuity of ancient artisans and tells the story of the strong transformation of Vietnamese culture.

Currently, the stage of the Miss Universe 2024 contest has been completed with impressive LED lighting effects for the contestants to enter the rehearsal. The semi-final and final nights will take place at 9:00 a.m. on November 15 and 8:00 a.m. on November 17 (Vietnam time), respectively.
