Hoa Binh rewards 24 works that won the 3rd Provincial Press Award

At the meeting, journalist Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper, read a speech reviewing the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press. Over the past 98 years, Vietnam's revolutionary press has developed along with the nation's history, accompanying the cause of innovation, building and defending the Fatherland.

Provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate provincial journalists on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

In Hoa Binh province, press activities are increasingly growing in both quantity and quality, improving political capacity. Up to now, the Provincial Journalists Association - the "common home" of journalists in the province has gathered 158 members. The Association and the press agencies of the province have gradually matured in many aspects, the quality of information and propaganda work has been improved.

The provincial press team joins hands, unites hearts, and is determined to build a professional, humane, and modern press. The provincial press agencies, together with other central and local press agencies located in the area, have created a combined strength, becoming a shock force on the political, ideological, and cultural front, successfully completing the task of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

The Provincial Journalists Association has truly become a "warm common home" for its members and the press in the province. Each cadre and member constantly studies, practices, and makes the greatest effort with responsibility and professional ethics to produce more and more high-quality journalistic works and attractive radio and television programs to both elevate journalists and the journalism profession and promote the development of the unit, contributing effectively to the construction of the homeland of Hoa Binh .

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged, commended and warmly congratulated the achievements that press agencies and journalists in the whole province have achieved in the past time. Appreciating the sense of responsibility and capacity of journalists in the province, he affirmed: Hoa Binh Press has continuously grown, actively accompanying the province in maintaining the momentum of socio-economic development.

Comrade Nguyen Van Chuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Provincial Press Awards 2022, awarded the A prize to the authors and groups of authors.

To keep up with the development of journalism in the 4.0 era, Hoa Binh journalism has made many innovations, accelerated the digitalization process and applied information technology to journalism activities. The team of reporters and editors constantly trained to better meet the requirements and tasks. Many journalists have always stayed close to the base, appeared and reported the fastest and most timely news on hot current issues that the public was interested in.

Comrade Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 author and 1 group of excellent authors who won the A prize, the 3rd Hoa Binh Provincial Press Award in 2022.

Immediately after the meeting to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Hoa Binh Provincial Journalists Association organized a summary and award ceremony for the 3rd Hoa Binh Provincial Press Award in 2022. After 1 year of launching, the Award has attracted the attention of press agencies, professional and non-professional journalists to submit entries. As of March 15, 2023, the Organizing Committee received 110 entries from over 48 authors. Through the preliminary round, the Jury selected 90 entries for the final round (56 print works; 26 television works; 7 radio works; 1 photojournalism work).

In general, the entries were invested quite elaborately, with creative exploration, attractive expression style, easy to read, easy to listen, easy to watch, easy to feel. Many works have deeply explored, analyzed and summarized the achievements of the province's socio-economic development. Many works are topical, orienting public opinion and have high influence. The award has created a new vitality for journalism activities in the province; adding inspiration, motivation, passion for exploration and creativity in the team of journalists. Thereby, contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Hoa Binh, creating richness and improving the effectiveness of journalism activities.

Comrades: Nguyen Manh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper; To Duy Nhat, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station awarded the B prize to the authors and groups of authors.

The Organizing Committee selected 24 high-quality works to award prizes, including: 2 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 7 C prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes.

On this occasion, Mr. Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 1 author and 1 group of excellent authors who won the A prize, the 3rd Hoa Binh Provincial Press Award in 2022.
