On February 21, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province said that the province is requesting the implementation of the Prime Minister's Directive on strengthening logistics connections to promote the consumption and export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products.

Specifically, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Industry and Trade, and localities to review, adjust and supplement the planning and structure of agricultural, forestry and fishery production in the locality in conjunction with the development of infrastructure and agricultural logistics services.
In addition, coordinate with localities to form and develop production and consumption chains of agricultural products in key raw material areas and reorganize production according to cooperative models and cooperative groups linked with enterprises to provide agricultural products that ensure quality, safety and sustainability through the agricultural product logistics service center system.
In addition, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to review and supplement the Agricultural Logistics Service Center to submit to competent authorities for approval; coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to support land and essential infrastructure for the construction of agricultural logistics centers.
Coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and sectors to develop mechanisms and policies within their authority, encourage and attract capable enterprises, organizations and individuals to participate in investing in the construction, management and operation of agricultural logistics service centers, and regulate the operating model of agricultural logistics service centers in the area.
Previously, the Prime Minister signed an Official Dispatch on strengthening logistics connectivity to promote consumption and export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products. The content of the Official Dispatch clearly stated: Logistics system infrastructure is very important to the overall economy in general and agricultural and rural development in particular.
Therefore, in recent years, the State has paid attention to investing in developing a logistics system to promote socio-economic development, create favorable conditions for people, cooperatives, and businesses, connect production with consumption, and export of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, contributing to stabilizing food security, ensuring quality and safe food sources for domestic consumption and export, making great contributions to the socio-economic development of our country.
Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the Ministers of the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Planning and Investment, Transport, Finance, Foreign Affairs; Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities; Vietnam Logistics Service Enterprises Association and Agricultural Industry Associations to urgently deploy tasks to quickly complete the logistics system to connect and produce agricultural products, better serving agricultural and rural development in the new situation.
