Support to improve nutrition for children in mountainous areas before the new school year

Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion presented a support symbol of 100 million VND to Tam Thanh Kindergarten.

Tam Thanh Kindergarten is located in a particularly difficult area, with 2 campuses with 180 students, of which over 80% are ethnic minority students. The school's semi-boarding kitchen was built in 2009 and is now seriously degraded. The project is estimated to cost 160 million VND, of which the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion supports 100 million VND from contributions from staff and workers of the Department of General Hematology. The remaining amount will be matched by the school and the locality. The project is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of September 2024.

In addition to financial support, the program also includes activities to support improved nutrition and disseminate nutritional knowledge to parents and schools, thereby contributing to improving the quality of boarding kitchens.
