(Dan Tri) - Coach Ruben Amorim admitted that Man Utd would play better if Rashford was in the squad and he believes that the English striker could find new opportunities at Old Trafford.
Rashford was not selected by coach Ruben Amorim in Man Utd's 2-1 victory over Man City on December 15. Explaining this decision, the Portuguese coach said that he just wanted the "Red Devils" squad to be at their best in every match.
"I just want the team to play better and win, Man Utd will play better with Rashford. We try many ways to push him to quickly reach his best form like before.

Man Utd need great talents like Rashford before. He just needs to perform at the highest level, and that's what we want," coach Amorim said at a press conference before the match against Tottenham in the quarter-finals of the English League Cup on December 20.
Rashford grew up at Man Utd's Carrington training ground and has been with the team since the age of 7. The English striker has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances since making his debut for the "Red Devils" first team in 2016. This season, Rashford has only scored 7 goals in 24 matches in all competitions, including 4 goals in the Premier League.
After Rashford was not registered for the match against Man City at Etihad Stadium on December 15, there were many speculations that Man Utd would push this player away in the January transfer window. Rashford himself also confirmed that he was ready for a new challenge, the next steps in his career.
However, coach Amorim confirmed that he and Man Utd want Rashford to stay. The 39-year-old strategist will watch the training session on December 19 before deciding whether to include Rashford in the squad for the away match against Tottenham in the quarter-finals of the English League Cup.

"We still want to believe and have Rashford's service. Being left out of the Manchester derby will make him realize many things and have to try harder.
We will try many different ways to bring Rashford back to the top form he has shown in the past," coach Amorim shared.
In addition to Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho was also left out of the Manchester derby squad last weekend. Amorim stressed that it is not just Rashford and Garnacho, the same thing can happen to any Man Utd player if they do not train seriously.
"If they train well then I have to make a choice. I always want the best for each player and that's the key point. I talk to a lot of players individually during training and understand how they are before making an assessment," the 39-year-old coach shared.
Man Utd will visit Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the English League Cup at 3am on December 20.
