HCMC team coach refuses to comment on the story of Coach Park and Polking

After the National Cup match, which took place last night (November 28) at Thong Nhat Stadium, interim coach of Ho Chi Minh City Club, Phung Thanh Phuong, received a lot of attention from the media.

When asked about "Why did you accept the role of interim coach?", coach Phung Thanh Phuong said: "I am not comfortable talking about this issue. Today I will only answer questions about the technical aspects of the match."

The team lost the match, but coach Phung Thanh Phuong did not blame his players. He said: "The result of the recent match with Binh Duong may not have been as expected, but the players of Ho Chi Minh City Club still showed their desire and solidarity."

Just a few days ago, Ho Chi Minh City FC appointed Mr. Phung Thanh Phuong as interim coach, after the city team parted ways with coach Vu Tien Thanh.

The leaders of the city football team revealed that the team has indeed negotiated with foreign coaches, including the duo of Coach Park Hang Seo, Lee Young Jin, Coach Mano Polking and Coach Chung Hae Seong. According to the leaders of the HCMC Club, the negotiation process is still ongoing.

Coach Phung Thanh Phuong said: "At this stage, we mainly stabilize the players' spirit. The preparation for the match with Binh Duong team is quite short, after we parted ways with the old coach. I will help the team gradually improve their weaknesses to find good results in the V-League."

Meanwhile, coach Le Huynh Duc of Binh Duong Football Club said: "The fact that Phung Thanh Phuong and I used to stand on the same side and are now opponents is normal in football."

"Coach Phung Thanh Phuong and I have no grudges against each other. On the field, the team with better performance will win. In terms of spirit, I think the HCMC team showed very good spirit," affirmed coach Le Huynh Duc.

This was also the match where the highly anticipated striker Nguyen Tien Linh scored for Binh Duong. Coach Le Huynh Duc commented on this striker: "Tien Linh is gradually regaining his feeling, but this is still not his best form."

"In my opinion, Tien Linh's physical condition is not yet guaranteed. This is the common condition of many Binh Duong players at this time, not just Tien Linh's condition, especially with the group of players returning from the national team," coach Le Huynh Duc shared.
