According to a statement posted by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam on Facebook on the afternoon of May 21, the commanders of two Indian Navy ships INS Delhi and INS Satpura visited the Commander of Region 3 of the Vietnam Navy, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5 and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, as well as organized activities to welcome officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Navy to interact with the crew.

“Forever friends, connected by oceans,” the statement read.

The Indian Embassy in Vietnam later released a series of photos recording many cultural and sports exchange activities that the crews of the two ships INS Delhi and INS Satpura carried out, including a friendly volleyball match with Vietnamese soldiers.
