The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) affirmed that the responsibility for illegally teaching a second degree in English Language at the Hanoi University of Business and Technology belongs to the principal.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just sent a document to Hanoi University of Business and Technology regarding the adjustment of enrollment and training for the second degree in English Language.
According to the document, based on the inspection conclusion No. 2201 dated June 28 of Hanoi University of Business and Technology training for the second degree in English Language classes VB2.12, VB2.13, VB22.01 and the working results of the working group verifying information on enrollment and training for people with a university degree in English Language related to Hanoi University of Business and Technology, the Ministry of Education and Training has the following opinion: The responsibility related to training for the second degree in English Language in the above classes of Hanoi University of Business and Technology is first of all the responsibility of the school's Principal.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires this school to urgently develop and implement a plan to ensure the legitimate rights of related students in accordance with regulations. The school's implementation results must be reported to the Ministry of Education and Training before December 28.
At the same time, the Ministry requested the school to send a legal representative to attend the meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training to review and draw up a record of administrative violations in the recruitment and organization of training for the second degree in English Language.
Previously, according to the information reported, Hanoi University of Business and Technology illegally opened training classes for the second degree in English Language as mentioned above. Many students attending these classes had to pay very high fees, totaling up to 47.5 million VND.
With 2 second degree classes at the school's Nguyen Duc Canh campus, the total amount collected according to the student list is nearly 4 billion VND.
When the incident broke out, the school quickly blamed the individuals. The school asserted that these were classes that were not run by the school. To get their tuition back, students must go to the individuals involved, the school is not responsible.
However, it is worth noting that the admission decision has the school's red seal and is signed by Vice Principal Vu Van Hoa. The training process involves a number of teachers in the school.
