On the afternoon of November 4, on the social networking forum named "Le Quy Don High School Alumni", a photo of an invitation letter for former Le Quy Don students from all school years was posted to attend the program to honor the silent ferryman at 10:00 a.m. on November 19 at Le Quy Don High School, 110 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Attached to the invitation and program is the content: On the occasion of the upcoming November 20th, the school invites former students to the school for a reunion. Due to limited seats, the school will organize the event by selling tickets for 500,000 VND/person. This amount will be put into the school's support fund for former teachers. Contact details for ticket purchase will be updated later.

Accordingly, the announcement about the above program was posted on the "Le Quy Don High School Alumni" page at around 5:00 p.m. today and immediately received many negative comments about selling tickets for 500,000 VND/person at the gratitude ceremony for former students attending the program.

According to the Principal of Le Quy Don High School, the school has no policy of selling tickets and collecting money "to put into the school's support fund for former teachers" as called for on the forum.

Regarding this information, Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters contacted the Principal of Le Quy Don High School (District 3), Ms. Bui Minh Tam. Ms. Tam said that Le Quy Don High School did not organize the program to honor the silent ferryman at 10:00 a.m. on November 19 and did not have a policy of selling tickets and collecting money "to put into the school's support fund for former teachers" as the content of the appeal on the forum.

Ms. Tam confirmed that the school will hold a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, on Monday, November 20.

However, the female principal of Le Quy Don High School said that in preparation for the November 20 anniversary, the school's alumni and teachers association contacted the school and borrowed the location to organize annual traditional activities. The school agreed to support the school's alumni association in organizing activities.

Thanh Nien reporter contacted the Association of Former Teachers and Former Students of Le Quy Don High School. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Chau, a member of the organizing committee of the Association of Former Teachers and Former Students of the school, confirmed that she had sent an invitation to former students of the school to attend the traditional activity. This activity has been organized for many years and the Association has borrowed the school's location to organize it. This is an opportunity for former students to visit the school and inquire about the health of their teachers.

At the same time, Ms. Chau affirmed that the Liaison Committee absolutely did not organize the sale of tickets for 500,000 VND/person for the gratitude ceremony for former students as information spread on social networks. All former students can enter the school and attend the gratitude program. According to Ms. Chau, "Le Quy Don High School Alumni" is not a forum for the Liaison Committee's activities.
