Students and teachers of Nguyen Du Secondary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) at the gratitude and maturity ceremony
On June 2, Nguyen Du Secondary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) held a gratitude and maturity ceremony for 9th grade students preparing for the 10th grade exam with the theme "Flying high with aspirations at the age of 15".
As the head of the school, Ms. Nguyen Doan Trang, Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School, said: "With 232 of my students present here, I would like to express my gratitude to the parents and teachers. I would like to send my most sincere thanks to the parents for accompanying the school for the progress of their children over the past 4 years. Today, I believe that the parents feel happy and very happy to see that their children have truly grown up. I hope that parents will continue to pay attention and create the best conditions for their children in the new journey."
Students sing loudly on coming of age day
"I sincerely thank the teachers, especially the homeroom teachers who have wholeheartedly loved, taught and cared for the students over the past 4 years. They are attentive, responsible, friendly but also very serious, sometimes strict. These things will help the children be confident in life and face challenges in the future," Ms. Doan Trang expressed her gratitude.
Teachers perform a musical performance to send to their graduating students before saying goodbye.
During the graduation ceremony of the final year students, Ms. Doan Trang continued to share: "As for my 232 beloved students, this moment can be said to be one of the most meaningful milestones. From this moment onwards, you have grown up. For me, the saying 'Where there is a will, there is a way' is like a provision on the path I have chosen. Be bold, because if you keep going, you will get there."
"Ahead of you is the 10th grade exam full of hardship and challenges. Keep striving and shining. I hope and believe that you will try your best. You should allocate your time reasonably when doing the test, take care of your health for the exam days and carefully prepare all the necessary papers and pens to bring," said Ms. Doan Trang.
Students graduated from junior high school and are preparing to take the 10th grade exam.
Although she hoped that all 232 students would be admitted as they wished, Ms. Trang did not forget to advise: "If the results are not as expected, please take 3 days to be sad, to cry, and then dry your tears because you have tried and made an effort, and have done your best in the exam. And you know that the 10th grade exam is not the only path, there are many other forks in the road, and you will always be successful if you learn from your experiences and always try harder in the following years."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong, nanny of class 9/1, fixes her students' clothes on coming-of-age day.
"I also hope that parents will always be a strong support, helping their children overcome important moments, and then guiding them to choose their next journey," the female principal said.
Students hold flowers to thank teachers and parents
At the moment of closing the 4-year journey at Nguyen Du Secondary School, student Huynh Le Me An (class 9/2) shared: "Throughout the years, teachers have been the ferrymen who have led us to this day. I would like to express my gratitude to all teachers, whether they have taught me or not, for the times when they were strict with us when we made mistakes, and forgiving the immature thoughts and actions of these children. After 4 years have passed, each of us will have a different path, but we will always remember the school, the class and the teachers."
In particular, during the gratitude ceremony, Me An sent her thanks to her parents who have always silently followed her every step. "Today here, we are more thoughtful children, we know how to think about our parents' hardships. We would like to give our parents a thank you that we have long forgotten, thank you for teaching us good things and right things, so that we can believe in ourselves and always strive in the days to come," Me An shared.
