Carrying out the task under the Program "Accompanying women in the border areas", the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs has just organized a working delegation to visit and give gifts to students and women in difficult circumstances in two communes of Nam Chay and Ta Ngai Cho, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.
This is the fourth year of the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" Program for the period 2021-2025 organized by the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE) in coordination with the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union and the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command.
Attending the Program were Ms. Dong Thi Anh, Vice President of Vietnam Businesswomen Association, Head of Social - Community Committee, Vietnam Businesswomen Association - Head of the Working Group; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Hien, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Businesswomen Association; representatives of Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union, Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command; and members of the Social - Community Committee - Vietnam Businesswomen Association...
In Nam Chay commune, the delegation, together with women's agencies and border guards, inaugurated a project to light up a 700m long road in Gia Khau B border village; presented 100 warm coats, candies and 50 cartons of TH milk to primary school students in the commune; and presented 100 warm coats to women in difficult circumstances in the commune.
In Ta Ngai Cho commune, the delegation presented the Women's Union with a set of computers, provided funds to build a covered garbage collection house; presented 100 warm clothes and TH milk to primary school students in the commune; 100 gifts to 100 women members in difficult circumstances (each gift included 01 double mosquito net and 01 warm blanket.
The delegation also expressed their gratitude to the Women's Union of Muong Khuong district, which has worked closely with local authorities to implement activities to support women, contributing to the successful implementation of activities for women's advancement.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and wished a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of Nam Chay Border Guard Station, expressing gratitude to the border guards who have protected the Fatherland so that people can live in peace.
The total budget and gifts this time is nearly 300 million VND , taken from the "VAWE - Millions of Hearts" Fund and contributions from female entrepreneurs who are members of the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Hien, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs, presented warm coats from Vietnamese female entrepreneurs to disadvantaged students in Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.
According to the representative of the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs, up to now, the basic targets of the task "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025 have been completed by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
The Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs will continue to call on female members to join hands in carrying out the task of "Accompanying women in the border areas" in 2025, the last year of the 2021-2025 period, both to complete the task assigned by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and to further spread the image and heart of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs to those who need help from the community.
