Provincial People's Council: Supervising thematic policy on tourism development in Thuan Nam district

On May 22, the Provincial People's Council Supervision Delegation led by Comrade Tran Minh Luc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, had a thematic supervision session on "Results of implementing and implementing policies and laws on tourism development in the period of 2021-2023" in Thuan Nam district.

In the period of 2021-2023, policies on tourism development in Thuan Nam district have been implemented synchronously, especially in ensuring security and order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, etc.; tourism activities have gradually become routine and achieved some results. The whole district has 2 tourist accommodation establishments, 55 accommodation service businesses, 97/97 food service businesses with Certificates of food safety qualified establishments. The total number of visitors coming for sightseeing, relaxation, and entertainment is estimated at nearly 21,000/year; revenue reaches nearly 26 billion VND/year. Besides the achieved results, tourism development in the district still has some difficulties and limitations such as: Local tourism management is still thin and lacking, software supporting tourism management is still inadequate; implementation of tourism projects; Spontaneous business form, lack of connection between tourism businesses and other related services.

Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the thematic supervision session "Results of implementing policies and laws on tourism development in Thuan Nam district, period 2021-2023".

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested Thuan Nam district to step up the dissemination and propaganda of Resolutions related to tourism development policies to raise awareness of Party committees, authorities and people on awareness and action in tourism development; strengthen propaganda, promotion and create the most favorable conditions to attract investment capital to build attractive tourism products for tourists, promote and introduce tourism products and typical tourism destinations of the locality. In particular, prioritize the sustainable development of marine ecological tourism; effectively exploit the tourism potential advantages at Ca Na beaches, Mui Dinh sand dunes according to approved planning...; proactively build and allocate resources to invest in transport and technical infrastructure to meet the development reality and tourism development orientation in the next period...
