Comrade Giang Thi Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, gave a speech directing the meeting.

In 2023, despite many difficulties, with the participation and high determination of the entire political system, Muong Ang district has achieved and exceeded many socio-economic development targets. Agricultural and forestry production activities have been well implemented by the district: Total grain output reached 18,231.3 tons (104.2% of the assigned plan); livestock growth rate reached over 2.5%/year, poultry reached 6.2%/year. Maintaining 2,193.5 hectares of existing coffee, the output of coffee husk is estimated at 4,676 tons, reaching 133.6% of the resolution target. Managing, protecting and taking good care of over 15,000 hectares of existing forest, reaching 102.1% of the resolution target. Total budget revenue in the area is over 36 billion VND, reaching over 126% of the district resolution and over 182% of the provincial estimate . Resolutely and effectively implementing the housing program for poor and near-poor households in the district, up to now , 836/836 households have built houses and 730 houses have been completed, reaching over 87%. Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Giang Thi Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the results that Muong Ang district has achieved in 2023; At the same time, she also requested: In 2024, Muong Ang district will continue to improve the investment and business environment, remove difficulties, and support businesses; direct the acceleration of the progress of public investment projects in 2024 according to the assigned plan, accelerate the construction progress, disburse public investment capital; effectively implement 03 national target programs; improve the quality of activities in the cultural and social fields; comprehensive education quality; do a good job of protecting and taking care of people's health; organize the apparatus in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner; ensure employment, social security, improve the material and spiritual life of the people; promote the fight against corruption, negativity, practice thrift, and combat waste; Strengthening national defense and security, ensuring social order and safety. Strive to complete and exceed the main socio-economic goals and targets in 2024".

Comrade Nguyen Tien Dat, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, chaired the meeting and suggested discussion.

The meeting also passed a number of important reports and resolutions and conducted discussions, questions and answers in the hall.

At the meeting, a vote of confidence was taken for 17 positions elected by the District People's Council. The votes were evaluated according to 3 levels: High confidence, confidence, low confidence.

Muong Ang District People's Council delegates voted for the positions elected by the 4th District People's Council.

Based on the report of the person whose vote of confidence was sent to each district People's Council delegate, the district People's Council delegate discussed, promoted the sense of responsibility, made fair assessments, and followed the regulations in recording the vote of confidence for each position elected by the district People's Council. The results showed that comrade Nguyen Tien Dat, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council and comrade To Trong Thien, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee both had 28/28 high votes of confidence, reaching 100%.
