In 2023, with the determination and efforts of the Party Committee, the government and all classes of people, the socio-economic situation, national defense and security of Vu Quang district continued to be stable and developed. Of the 28 socio-economic targets set by the District Party Committee and the District People's Council, 20 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan.
In particular, the main indicators are: the production value of economic sectors in 2023 is estimated at more than 3,500 billion VND, an increase of 1.62% over the same period. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production remains stable, some sectors achieve quite comprehensive results. Total grain output reaches 15,422 tons (118.63% of the plan, equal to 110.15% compared to 2022). Average income per capita is estimated at 50.32 million VND/person/year (an increase of 3.35 million VND compared to 2022).
Regarding new rural construction, up to now, for the basic district-level criteria, 1 additional advanced NTM district criterion has been achieved (security, order - public administration), the remaining criteria have increased the standard level to 10 - 15%.
In 2024, Vu Quang district has proposed 28 key tasks and solutions. Accordingly, the district will continue to focus on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; focus on cultural development, ensuring social security and constantly improving people's lives; ensuring national defense and security, social order and safety...

The 8th session of the People's Council of Vu Quang district, term V, will take place in 1.5 days (December 25-26). After the opening session, delegates will discuss, question and answer and pass resolutions of the session.
Also at this session, delegates will vote on confidence for 17 people holding positions elected by the People's Council of Vu Quang district.

At the meeting, representatives of Huong Khe District People's Committee reported a summary of the implementation of socio-economic development, national defense and security tasks in 2023 and the directions, goals, tasks and solutions in 2024; a proposal to approve a resolution on the results of state budget revenue and expenditure in 2023; and tasks of state budget revenue and expenditure in 2024.

Accordingly, with the adaptability, proactiveness, and flexibility in leadership, direction, and operation of the Party Executive Committee, the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches, and the entire population, in 2023, Huong Khe basically completed and exceeded 35 targets and plans on socio-economic development set forth by the District People's Council.
Budget revenue in the area reached 82.5 billion VND. Average income per capita reached 51.19 million VND/person/year. People's lives were stable; political security and social order and safety were ensured; Party building and organizations in the political system were strengthened. Two communes were recognized as meeting NTM standards (Huong Lam, Huong Lien); two communes completed documents to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for acceptance, workers met NTM standards (Ha Linh, Dien My), reaching 100% of the plan.
