Ms. Hoa, who has been selling Nam O fish salad for more than 32 years, shared: "When I was young, I only sold dried fish for about 5 years. Since I got married, I have sold both types - dried fish salad and wet fish salad - to earn extra income and cover daily expenses."
According to some documents, Nam O fish salad was once a dish offered to the king.
At around 7am, she was at Nam O market selling fish salad, and at 10am she moved to Hoa Khanh market to continue selling. At Nam O market, the majority of customers are laborers and workers who buy in larger quantities than at Hoa Khanh market.
