Eisai constantly strives for the health of the elderly and Alzheimer's patients in Vietnam.
As a member of Eisai Group with 35 years of experience in the field of neurological diseases worldwide, Eisai Vietnam has carried out many meaningful activities, contributing greatly to raising awareness and spreading love to the elderly community and Alzheimer's patients in Vietnam.
In 2022 and 2023, Eisai Vietnam signed agreements with the Vietnam Neurological Association, the Vietnam Alzheimer's and Cognitive Disorders Association (VnADA) and the FPT Long Chau pharmacy chain, leveraging expertise and technology to implement many activities for the Alzheimer's patient community and their families. Not stopping there, Eisai Vietnam also cooperated with the Central Geriatric Hospital and the Vietnam Geriatrics Association to enhance research and raise awareness, diagnosis and management of dementia in Vietnam.

At the same time, Eisai Vietnam regularly carries out volunteer programs to provide health care for the elderly living alone in difficult circumstances at the Support Centers, providing encouragement and "spiritual medicine" to the elderly as well as contributing to sharing social responsibility.
In particular, recently, Eisai Vietnam has launched the program "A Bit More" with the message "Love prolongs memories". Through the program, Eisai Vietnam wants to encourage everyone to look back and act a little more to love more, care more for parents, grandparents, relatives, and the elderly, to understand more about Alzheimer's disease, thereby implementing examination and screening measures to detect and treat promptly to have more lasting memories with the family.
More give a little to get more back
For Alzheimer's patients, understanding the disease correctly and sufficiently will help them prepare psychologically and accept the treatment regimen more easily. As for relatives and the community, their understanding and concern are important "medicine" that play a decisive role in the treatment outcome.
Mr. Yuki Inoue - General Director of Eisai Vietnam shared: "We realize that sometimes, because of being busy with life or lacking necessary information, the elderly in the risk group or the children in the family do not have enough attention to recognize the signs of Alzheimer's disease and have timely intervention measures, as well as not having understanding and sharing with the patient".

In a persistent effort to spread information so that patients, relatives and the community have enough information and awareness about Alzheimer's disease, Eisai Vietnam hopes to carry out a series of annual and continuous activities, connecting professional organizations, experts and the community. The program will go through many stages from raising awareness to understanding and taking the right action to together create love, spread positivity and hope for a better future for the elderly in general and Alzheimer's patients in particular.
Activities to share professional knowledge, free screening and health consultation for the elderly in collaboration with Hospital 175, Central Geriatric Hospital and University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City are also held throughout Alzheimer's month to support screening, early detection of disease risks and accompany patients in long-term treatment.
Recently, Eisai Vietnam also organized the program "Enjoy the beauty of life" at Thanh Loc Paralyzed Care Center (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City), bringing joy and meaningful gifts to the elderly there. In addition to giving advice related to physical health, Eisai Vietnam cares about mental health through chatting, exchanging, sharing and participating in activities with the elderly.
Eisai staff directly visited and guided the pottery makers in the program.
On the journey of accompanying the elderly in general and Alzheimer's patients in particular, Eisai Vietnam will continue to strive to extend the chain of practical and meaningful activities, aiming to add love, understanding, and improve the effectiveness of health care for everyone and their families.
