On the morning of August 26, at least seven explosions occurred in the capital Kiev of Ukraine, in the context that the entire Eastern European country is under alert for air strikes from Russia.

AFP reporters reported the incident, adding that explosions were also recorded in many other areas across the country.
The governors of Odessa, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkov regions confirmed the explosions and urged residents to seek shelter. In the city of Lutsk, an apartment building was destroyed, killing one person.
Earlier, an attack on an industrial facility in Poltava province injured five people. Ukraine's DTEK energy company also reported emergency power outages in some areas.
Meanwhile, in Saratov province, southern Russia, Gagarin airport was forced to temporarily suspend all takeoff and landing operations after a Ukrainian drone attack in the early morning of August 26.
The attack targeted not only the airport but also the cities of Saratov and Engels in the region. Saratov Governor Roman Busargin confirmed that debris from the downed UAV fell on residential areas in Saratov and Engels, injuring four people, including a woman who was hospitalized in critical condition.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had destroyed nine UAVs overnight in the Saratov region.
Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, on the same day, August 26, Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch told Sputnik : "Pakistan does not want to take sides. We pursue a policy of maintaining good relations with both countries."
According to Ms. Baloch, Pakistan has abstained from voting on many relevant resolutions at the United Nations to demonstrate its neutrality. Islamabad called on both sides to resolve their differences peacefully.
On the possibility of participating in the next Ukraine peace conference, the spokesman said Pakistan would decide when the time comes, and hoped that meetings and conferences would contribute to resolving the conflict.
