Not only is it a community activity that is widely participated in by children, according to the artists who are members of the jury, "I draw a heroic vaccination hero with VNVC" is a successful drawing contest not only with a large number of entries but also with an impressive quality of entries. Many entries are truly works of art with high aesthetic and meaningful value.
"I was very surprised by the paintings. Although they were very young, the children clearly expressed their feelings, stories, personalities and souls through each stroke. The sadness, pain and loss caused by the epidemic or the joy and happiness of defeating the virus and becoming heroes to protect the community through the children's eyes were all extremely vivid and lovely," shared artist Vu Cong Dien, a member of the jury.
The painting titled "With VNVC say no to diseases" by Nguyen Tran Khanh Thy (13 years old) won the special prize in the community group competition.
Attending the award ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Luong Ngoc, leader of the Saigon Xanh group with nearly 2,000 volunteers who are carrying out activities of collecting garbage and cleaning polluted canals in Ho Chi Minh City, said that the group had recently been awarded a very useful "armor" of vaccines by VNVC to protect members from dangerous infectious diseases that can be contracted when working in toxic and polluted environments. Since then, members have also been more aware of the need to proactively get vaccinated to protect their own health first, then protect and do good things for the community.
Winning the Gold Prize in the community category, Lo Ngoc Bao Tran (11 years old, Quy Chau district, Nghe An province) shared that her drawing was inspired by the time Thai ethnic people in her village were vaccinated against Covid-19 by medical staff. Tran hopes that she, her friends and everyone will be fully vaccinated, and that vaccination points will be closer to the village.
The "work" of Lo Ngoc Bao Tran (11 years old) - a Thai ethnic child, caused strong emotions with the message "I hope all ethnic children are fully vaccinated to protect their health"
Mr. Lo Van Thu, Tran's grandfather, also said that where he lives, many people are afraid to travel far and refuse to get vaccinated, or some people have died of rabies because they did not get vaccinated.
