Tens of thousands of people go on island tours at the beginning of the new year

On February 14 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Nha Trang Tourist Wharf Management Department (under Nha Trang Bay Management Board) said that from the 30th of Tet to noon on the 5th, more than 36,000 people had left the port to visit island tours.

According to Mr. Phu, the number of visitors on the 4th and 5th of Tet is quite large and equal to about 9,000 visitors/day. Not only Vietnamese tourists but also many international tourist groups choose to go on island tours when coming to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

From Nha Trang tourist wharf, tourists will travel by speedboat or wooden boat to go to diving spots, visit Hon Mun, Hon Tam islands, Coral Bay...

Tourists said that this year, Lunar New Year has a long holiday, so they took the opportunity to go to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to experience the unique tourism products in the locality.

Many groups of Korean tourists also choose island tours when arriving in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. Most tourists choose 3 - 4 island tours including mud baths for additional experiences.

From October 1, 2023, in order to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection and biodiversity in Nha Trang Bay, Nha Trang Bay Management Board requires that disposable plastic products not be brought through Nha Trang tourist wharf.

In recent years, island tours have become one of the typical tourism products of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism and have attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

Notably, the number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa this year is on the rise. Mr. Nguyen Minh Khoi - Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport said that during the Lunar New Year (December 25 to the 5th day of Tet), Khanh Hoa welcomed about 98,357 international visitors and 90,457 domestic visitors. According to statistics from Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, from the 30th day of Tet to the end of the 4th day of Tet, Khanh Hoa welcomed 191,360 overnight guests, an increase of more than 26% compared to the Lunar New Year 2023. Of which, there were 40,750 international visitors, an increase of 260.6%; more than 150,600 domestic visitors, an increase of 7.2%.
