In order to develop and expand livestock and production models among veteran members, the Veterans Association of Ham Tri commune, Ham Thuan Bac district has just launched a model of raising spotted deer in group 1, Phu Thai village.
The model was implemented by veteran Bui The Thinh - owner of Loc Thien Phu farm with a budget of over 400 million VND. Of which, the investment cost to buy 2 male deer and 13 female deer is worth over 290 million VND; the cost of food and veterinary medicine is nearly 20 million VND and the cost of building a barn is over 90 million VND. The scale of the model is about 4,000m2, including a barn area of 137m2 and an area of grass for deer food of over 3,800m2...
The business objective of the model is to raise deer for antlers and reproduction, supplying deer for breeding, deer meat and antler products to the market. Through the model, it aims to encourage members and veterans in the commune to boldly invest, introduce new breeds into family-based livestock farming, create jobs, increase income, and open up new economic development directions for local people.
