Accordingly, at around 3:30 p.m. on June 2, heavy rain and tornadoes occurred along Highway 55 in Ward 4 and Ward 2, Tan Nghia town, causing roofs to be blown off, scrap warehouses to collapse, and electric poles to fall...
As a result, the tornado injured 2 people, damaged 7 houses and huts with an area of 780 m2. In addition, the tornado caused some electric poles to fall and damaged electric wires on Road 6, Ward 4, Tan Nghia town. Regarding agriculture, the tornado caused 25 jackfruit trees (4 years old) and 200 7-year-old acacia trees to fall. The total damage caused by the tornado was over 835 million VND.
After the damage occurred, Ham Tan District People's Committee and related units quickly provided support and overcome the consequences. At the same time, they visited, encouraged and supported households whose roofs were blown off and families with injured members.
At the same time, check the actual status, specifically review damaged items, and synthesize reports to the District People's Committee according to regulations.
It is known that in addition to heavy rain and tornadoes in Ham Tan district, heavy rain on the evening of June 2 in Mang To commune (Tanh Linh) flooded 300 hectares of rice and damaged some irrigation systems. The locality is currently investigating the consequences of heavy rain.
