The People's Committee of Vinh Bao district (Hai Phong city) has just issued a document on strengthening aquaculture management in hot and complicated weather conditions.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from now until the end of 2024, the weather will change in an extreme direction, with heat waves, droughts, tropical depressions, rains, and storms occurring irregularly.
To proactively respond to heat, drought, storms, tropical depressions, and floods in aquaculture in 2024, the People's Committee of Vinh Bao district requires the People's Committees of communes and towns to focus on directing and implementing to production households in developing plans, fully preparing raw materials, arranging human resources, and organizing and implementing measures to prevent and respond to heat, storms, and floods in aquaculture.

At the same time, assign professional staff to coordinate with technical staff in charge of the commune to closely follow the area, promptly direct, propagate, and guide aquaculture facilities in the area to implement measures to prevent and overcome damage caused by heat, storms, and floods to stabilize production.
The People's Committee of Vinh Bao district also requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station, and the District Agricultural Extension Station to assign specialized staff to coordinate with relevant units to guide production households on regulations on disease prevention in aquatic products, especially in concentrated and key areas of seed production and aquaculture.
In addition, fully prepare materials, chemicals for treatment and backup to overcome situations where aquatic animals die abnormally due to hot weather, storms, floods, and epidemics. Regularly follow the area, promptly propagate, disseminate, and guide people to implement technical measures to stabilize production in weather conditions of prolonged heat, storms, and tropical depressions.
