To date, although businesses in industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong have resumed production, many businesses need at least 3 months to recover. Businesses want insurance companies to speed up the appraisal and insurance compensation process, allowing affected companies to secure recovery funds as soon as possible.

At the conference, Mr. Jung Hyeok, General Director of LS Metal Vina Company, representing the group of enterprises in DEEP C Industrial Park, proposed that part of the workers' salaries due to production stoppage be paid by social insurance. This will help companies retain workers, reducing the financial burden. In addition, he wants to postpone investigations and inspections by government agencies such as customs, tax authorities and fire prevention agencies until the recovery process is complete, so that companies can fully focus on recovery efforts.

After listening to the opinions of businesses at the conference, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, said that for matters under the authority of the City, the Management Board will directly report to the leaders of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to make timely support decisions. For matters under the authority of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, the board's leaders will directly work with relevant agencies to come up with the most beneficial solutions for businesses, such as declaring a state of emergency in the DEEP C Industrial Park, and working with businesses to work with insurance companies so that the insurance companies can carry out compensation procedures as soon as possible.

At the same time, the Management Board also requested infrastructure companies to consider reducing taxes and fees. Banks support businesses with low-interest loans to restore production and invest in new equipment. Relevant agencies allow businesses to extend the deadline for paying taxes and fees to have more time to restore production and some other contents.

“The city's greatest wish at this time is for businesses to soon stabilize production, recover, and join hands to build a city that develops quickly, strongly, and sustainably.
