Ninh Binh A driver and a mechanic were changing a tire on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 highway when they were suddenly hit by a truck, killing one and seriously injuring another.
At around 5:30 a.m. on August 8, a truck was traveling on the highway when it reached Yen Son Commune, Tam Diep City and its tire broke down. The driver called for help to repair it right on the road, and while removing the tire, an accident occurred.
At the scene, two trucks and a rescue vehicle were severely damaged, many anti-glare nets were knocked down. The highway through Yen Son commune was congested.
The Traffic Police Department coordinated with Tam Diep City Police to regulate traffic. By noon, the scene was cleared and traffic on the route returned to normal.

Mai Son - National Highway 45 Expressway has a total investment of more than 12,100 billion VND, starting point in Mai Son commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province, ending point intersecting with National Highway 45.
Currently, the new route is only operating 53 out of a total of 63 km, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h and trucks over 10 tons are prohibited. Trucks over 3.5 tons are only allowed to travel from Mai Son to Ha Linh intersection, and passenger vans over 16 seats are only allowed to travel from Mai Son to Gia Mieu intersection.

This highway does not have any rest stops or emergency lanes. If a vehicle has a problem, there will be bays to fix it, each bay is 4-5 km apart.
