The Ca Ty River embankment project from Le Hong Phong Bridge to Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Trung Trac Street side and the Ca Ty River embankment project from Duc Thanh Bridge to Ung Van Khiem Street of Phan Thiet City People's Committee are being implemented to stabilize the Ca Ty River bank, ensure flood drainage capacity, reduce flooding, meet the needs of waterway traffic, improve the landscape and environmental sanitation while creating more green space for Phan Thiet City.
On July 12, 2023, the People's Council of Binh Thuan province approved the investment policy for the Ca Ty river embankment project from Duc Thanh bridge to Ung Van Khiem street, Phan Thiet city. The embankment has a length of 450 m. The traffic routes are expanded on Le Thi Hong Gam, Yersin, Ba Trieu routes with a road width of 12m, sidewalk width of 5mx2, Ung Van Khiem street with a road width of 7m, sidewalk width of 3mx2. The green park area is about 2.4 hectares. Other auxiliary items are drainage and lighting systems. The total investment is about 486.4 billion VND. On August 25, 2023, the Phan Thiet City Construction Investment Project Management Board (PMB) (representing the investor) submitted to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for appraisal of the design - technical estimate of the cadastral map. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to determine the quantity and location of land plots to resettle households facing Le Thi Hong Gam Street and Ba Trieu Street. Currently, the organization is recording the current status and collecting related legal documents as a basis for making a compensation plan; in accordance with the detailed construction planning of the area along both sides of the Ca Ty River, Phan Thiet City, scale 1/500. Within the scope of the study, it is expanded from the area along both sides of the Ca Ty River from Phan Thiet Fishing Port to the upstream area of the Ca Ty River, covering the entire area of Phong Nam and Tien Loi communes, and showing the location of the embankment line of the Ca Ty River embankment project from Le Hong Phong Bridge to Tran Hung Dao Bridge, on Trung Trac Street.
The Ca Ty River embankment project from Le Hong Phong Bridge to Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Trung Trac Street side, aims to ensure long-term sustainable riverbank stability. The embankment structure ensures dredging of the riverbed down 3m as approved in the planning and creates a landscape for the central area of the city, contributing to upgrading and beautifying the urban area, creating a "green, clean, beautiful" environment in the area. On June 13, 2023, the City Construction Investment Project Management Board approved the construction design to be implemented after the basic design of the Ca Ty River embankment project from Le Hong Phong Bridge to Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Trung Trac Street side. The protective embankment has a length of 356 m; there is a green park and lighting with an area of 6,743 m2, including a centralized parking lot, public toilets, yards and trees. The roadway width is expanded to 10.5 m, the sidewalk width is 2.4 m. Other auxiliary items are water supply and drainage systems; lighting system; stairs; embankment railing. Total investment is about 37,019 million VND, the project started on August 24, 2023.
