Two billion-dollar projects committed to surpassing schedule, finishing in 2024
On the morning of February 19 (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year), at the Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project, workers and engineers of the joint venture contractor were present to work from early morning. Inside the construction site with an investment capital of 300 billion VND, there was a joyful laughter.
After nearly 1 year of construction, Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center has basically completed the rough construction and the contractor has accelerated the progress to complete and put the project into use 6 months ahead of schedule.
After nearly a year since the first stones were laid in the foundation pit to start the project, the structure has now basically completed its rough construction. The entire majestic 3-storey building with a floor area of up to 11,736m2 located in a prime location with 4 street frontages has created a majestic appearance and is an architectural highlight right at the foot of Thien But mountain.
The representative of the Quang Ngai Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that after nearly 1 year of implementation, the entire rough construction of the project has been completed. Currently, the contractors are focusing on completing the main items and other sub-items such as parking lots, flower gardens, gardens, etc.
At the Center for Disease Control (CDC Quang Ngai) project, the construction atmosphere was also deployed by the joint venture contractor after the Tet holiday. Accordingly, in addition to mobilizing dozens of workers, engineers and a series of mechanical equipment, the contractors also held a New Year's launch ceremony, creating a bustling atmosphere at the construction site.
With an investment capital of 150 billion VND, CDC Quang Ngai is one of the few medical projects that Quang Ngai province has allocated investment capital for in this term to gradually complete the basic medical infrastructure as well as improve the capacity of medical examination, treatment and disease prevention for people in the province.
Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh inspected the field and directed the construction of key projects on the morning of February 19 (January 10).
The representative of the joint venture contractor, Urban and Industrial Park Construction Joint Stock Company, said that up to now, the unit has completed the rough construction of the main 6-storey building with a floor area of over 9,200m2, tiling, roofing, installing electricity and water infrastructure, air conditioning, fire prevention and fighting systems, etc. At the same time, the northern block of the building is being renovated along with a series of other auxiliary works such as a garage, garbage storage, underground water tank, transformer station, etc.
General Director of Urban and Industrial Park Construction Joint Stock Company Le Tri Vien said that the concentration of human resources and mechanical equipment for project construction has been focused on by the unit and thoroughly communicated to all engineers and workers right before the Tet holiday. Thanks to that, all the company's human resources have been on time to work at the construction site with a serious and responsible spirit to create a new atmosphere right from the beginning of the year with the spirit of "a good start, a good end".
Director of the Quang Ngai Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board Vo Thanh Trung said that according to the plan, the two projects of the Conference and Exhibition Center and the Quang Ngai Disease Control Center were to be completed and put into use in 2025. However, with great determination, from the beginning of the year, contractors and investors committed to making efforts to complete the project by the end of 2024, 6 months ahead of schedule.

"The unit determined that both projects are important, especially the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. Right from the start of construction, we have instructed the units to ensure speed and quality, so up to now, the progress of the projects has met and exceeded the set plan. Regarding the disbursement of investment capital arranged in 2024, the unit is committed to disbursing 100%," Mr. Trung affirmed.
Upgrading, expanding and beautifying many major roads to create urban appearance
Inspecting the construction of the projects on the morning of February 19, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and contractor in the implementation of the two projects. Especially the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project.
According to Mr. Minh, this is an investment project to serve the province's events in the coming years. Therefore, in order to meet important political tasks, especially the 21st Provincial Party Congress, relevant entities need to increase human resources and focus on equipment to soon complete the project with the highest quality and aesthetics, leaving an impression as a symbolic project of the province in the coming time.
Cao Ba Quat Street will be expanded to 4 lanes and Pham Van Dong Street will be renovated and upgraded to create a new look, better meeting the travel needs of the people.
Regarding the projects that the province is about to invest in in the cluster of works to create a breakthrough for the area such as: Provincial Museum, Thien But Mountain Park... the head of Quang Ngai provincial government noted: In order for the project to be put into operation to create a highlight, synchronized with the surrounding context, especially the works and projects that will be invested in association, the departments and branches, and the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City need to urgently make a plan to prepare in a strict and scientific manner.
"Prepare a 1/500 plan and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee to listen to and give opinions on each project. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the expansion of Cao Ba Quat Street from two lanes to four lanes to meet traffic requirements.
Quang Ngai City needs to urgently implement the project to upgrade and renovate Pham Van Van Dong Street and Pham Van Dong Square. At the latest, it must be completed by the end of December 2024 to serve the overall important tasks of the province, especially organizing major political events," said Mr. Dang Van Minh.
