Two police officers 'rushed' to donate blood after receiving a distress message via Facebook

According to a representative of Lai Chau Provincial Police, on the morning of February 13 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year 2024), Lai Chau Provincial Police Facebook received a message from the account "Huyen Thuong" with the content that her younger brother Lo Van Quyen (23 years old, residing in Ta Gia commune, Than Uyen district, Lai Chau) had a traffic accident and was being treated at Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital.

Because the hospital was short of about 2-3 units of type O blood, the account "Huyền Thương" texted the police force for help and donated blood to save the child.

"Huyền Thương" sent a message to Lai Chau Provincial Police via Facebook to ask for blood to save her younger brother.

Receiving the message, the Lai Chau Provincial Police Fanpage Administration Board discussed with the Lai Chau Provincial Police Youth Union to mobilize members with blood type O who were on duty at nearby units to urgently go to the hospital to donate blood to save lives.

After the announcement was posted on the Zalo group of Lai Chau Provincial Police Youth Union, immediately two soldiers Giang Xe Me, an officer of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department; and Tong Trung Thanh, an officer of the Mobile Police Department of Lai Chau Provincial Police, volunteered to go to the hospital to donate blood.

Receiving blood in time, patient Quyen's relatives as well as the doctors were very impressed with the spirit of "when people need it, they are there" of the People's Public Security force.

Soldiers Giang Xe Me and Tong Trung Thanh said that over the past two years, they have donated blood many times. Therefore, immediately after receiving the notice and living near the hospital, they both volunteered to follow Uncle Ho's teaching "do everything that is beneficial to the people".

According to the representative of Lai Chau Provincial Police, the drops of blood of the two officers mentioned above not only brought life to Mr. Quyen but also spread the affection, sharing and spirit of mutual love between the people and the force, contributing to beautifying the fine tradition of the People's Police force.
